Frankly, we’re a little confused about MaxVegas Casino’s choice of branding. It’s a crypto casino, which means that it primarily deals in cryptocurrencies rather than flat ones – something that you won’t typically see in Vegas. So, what’s so “Max Vegas” about it? Well, that’s what we at casinoaustraliaonline.net set out to find out in this big and comprehensive review!

Over the course of several days, we thoroughly explored and tested every aspect of this casino, including not only its games and bonuses (the big things that draw most people), but also its payment options, extra features, customer support and, of course, safety and legitimacy. All in the interest of giving you a comprehensive look at the site the likes of which you won’t find anywhere else!

So, does MaxVegas somehow truly live up to its confusing name, or is it more of a MinVegas?

The bonuses of an online casino are one of its most important features, but sadly, MaxVegas Casino kind of dropped the ball on that one – its welcome package is both insufficient and confusing, and the worst part is that this is all the bonuses you’re going to get. There are no reload promotions or limited-time offers available at this casino, meaning that once you claim the one or two welcome offers, this is it.

So, what are those offers, anyway? Well, the first one you can claim is a 100% match up to $555 (US dollars, the casino does not support AU$), which isn’t terrible, but we’ve always felt that a mere 100% match just isn’t enough for a casino’s welcome bonus. This is the casino’s chance to leave a big impression, many sites will throw 150-300% match at you – 100% feels more like a second or third deposit deal.

In addition to that, you’ll also snatch up 88 free spins that you can use on a pokie selected by the casino. Once you’ve claimed the bonus, you’ll need to complete the wagering requirements, and this is where things get a little confusing. All the information we’re given about the wagering is that it takes x7 “Ordinary” wagers and x3 “Express” wagers.

Unfortunately, this offer is also plagued by the same incomprehensible wagering requirements – x7 “Ordinary” wagers and x3 “Express” wagers. What are those, you ask? Again, we have no clue. Maybe try asking the customer support, with some luck you’ll get an answer that we never received in our inbox. Either way, you might not need to bother because this bonus is quite terrible and not really worth claiming.

Cashback Welcome Bonus

If you choose to make your first deposit at MaxVegas Casino without claiming a bonus, then instead you’ll qualify for a 20% cashback in case you lose your first deposit. If this unfortunate event occurs, you’ll be able to reach out to the customer support and ask them to restore 20% of your deposit’s value, which will be added as a bonus to your account.

The good news is that, while this bonus also needs to be wagered, it’s just tied to a simple x3 wagering that you need to complete within 3 days, none of that “ordinary” and “express” wagering. This simplicity honestly makes it the best bonus offer of the entire casino, which just begs the question of why anyone would want to claim the other two bonuses. Honestly? Not a great first impression for MaxVegas Casino!

Games

Since the bonuses of MaxVegas Casino were a bit of a disappointment, you might be thinking that maybe its games will be better. The good news is that they are! The bad news is that they’re not better by much. Most of the titles come from fairly unknown companies, and the casino doesn’t really seem to have a lot of “big hitters”, or games that must absolutely be experienced.

It’s worth noting that MaxVegas Casino primarily focuses on pokies and live games, and it lacks a sports betting section or most other non-casino distractions. However, since it’s a crypto casino, it does also offer a few crash/crypto games, some of which are skill-based. This was honestly a great addition to the site, and one that we were very happy to see, even if the rest of the offerings aren’t anything to write home about.

Sadly, it’ll be very difficult for a new player to navigate their way through this landscape, as the casino doesn’t offer nearly any ways to filter out the vast collection of pokies. Of course, if you’re the type who primarily enjoys blackjack and roulette, you’ll still find quite a lot of live dealer rooms dedicated to that. We have to give it to MaxVegas Casino on this one – it certainly lives up to the promise of Vegas to the max here!

Deposits & Withdrawals

We already mentioned that MaxVegas Casino is a crypto casino that primarily focuses on crypto deposits and wagers – which means that only US dollars are supported, and there aren’t a lot of traditional deposit methods. We totally get that, and we can’t fault MaxVegas Casino for it – that’s just how crypto casinos are, and it’s okay, they have their place.

However, we absolutely can – and will – fault it for having barely any crypto deposit options! Crypto casinos are generally aimed at crypto enthusiasts who really enjoy depositing and wagering using fairly obscure crypto coins, like SOL or DAI. We’re not saying that MaxVegas should support 20 different coins (although it’d be nice), but it currently only supports 4, which is a laughable number. You can’t even deposit using Ripple or Dogecoin!

Withdrawal time

Despite the fact that MaxVegas Casino is a crypto site, it’ll still allow you to both deposit and withdraw using your credit card – in US dollars only, but still, it’s something. However, this option can take a while, as any withdrawals done via bank will go through a verification that can take about 3-5 days. While this method of withdrawal is convenient, it’s not great if you want speedy transactions.

For that, you’ll need to withdraw via crypto, which (obviously) isn’t subject to these verifications, and as such can be withdrawn much more quickly. This means that you’ll be waiting for just a day at most for your sweet winnings to show up in your crypto wallet – however, to actually use them, you’ll need to either sell them (which can incur fees) or find a site that accepts crypto payments. Either way, it’s a trade-off.

VIP Program

When we discussed the promotions and offers available at MaxVegas Casino, we mentioned the fact that it doesn’t have any at all except for its welcome bonuses. Unfortunately, this also applies to a VIP program – you won’t find anything like that within MaxVegas’ virtual halls.

Loyalty initiatives (like a VIP program or recurring/reload bonuses) are extremely important for retaining player loyalty, otherwise a player could just come in, claim and use the welcome bonus, and then leave to pursue more bonuses at a different casino. The fact that MaxVegas doesn’t have anything to hold their players’ attention past the honeymoon period proves that they don’t really care if you leave, they just want your first deposit – which is definitely a bummer.

Tournaments

Just like with a VIP program, MaxVegas Casino does not currently offer any tournaments, nor are there any plans to add them in the future as far as we can tell. Alas, this isn’t something that MaxVegas appear to be concerned with, either. It’s a real shame, but alas, there’s nothing we can do but be the bearer of bad news. If tournaments are something that you absolutely need to enjoy pokies, then this may not be the site for you.

Verification

While MaxVegas Casino is a crypto site, it still accepts traditional payments via Visa and MasterCard – and as such has to abide by their rules regarding player verification. At a glance, everything seems to be just perfect – the casino has a license number and belongs to a publicly listed company, so, all is as it should be, right? However, the license number provided caught our eye: MGA/B2C/394/2017 (issued on 01/08/2018). This is supposedly a Curacao license, and yet none of the four licenses that Curacao issues have serial numbers like this. Furthermore, if it was issued in 2018, why does the number say 2017?

We reached out to the casino’s support team to ask for more information on the license, but unfortunately, that request went nowhere. As you’ll read in the next section, our experience with MaxVegas Casino’s customer support team wasn’t great in general, but when it came to their license, we didn’t even get an answer. As such, we’re unable to endorse MaxVegas as a legit and safe online casino.

Customer support

If you’re stuck with a nasty bug, or simply have more questions about MaxVegas that we didn’t provide the answers to here, you could do a lot worse than reach out to the casino support team! … Or could you? Well, during our testing we did just that, and the results weren’t exactly encouraging.

First, we reached out to the casino’s live chat team – or rather, they reached out to us via an automatic message talking about their bonuses (always very annoying). We asked them a few questions, like about the site’s license and wagering requirements – we receive no answer about the former, and as for the latter, we were sent to the e-mail team.

Well, we obliged, writing them an e-mail, and have yet to receive a response. This is, sadly, far too common – we’ve seen the song and dance of “write our e-mail, we can’t answer here”, followed by total silence, far too many times, and always from subpar casinos.

Mobile casino

The mobile version of MaxVegas Casino isn’t great, but also isn’t terrible – it gets the job done, and that’s pretty much the best (and worst) thing we can say about it. Like with most online casinos, at least you don’t need to download an additional app in order to access it, you can just straight up open the site from a mobile browser and enjoy it as is.

The site’s interface is already simple enough on desktop, and so its transition to a mobile phone’s smaller screen works okay. However, you’ll often encounter loading times when visiting different pages, and those can last up to half a minute on a slower device, which doesn’t sound like much, but trust us – you’re definitely going to feel it if you spend enough time at MaxVegas!
