We should look at their bonuses, games, extra features, payment options, and most importantly, whether they’re safe to play at. Lucky for you, we decided to put our unconditional love for “The Room” aside in order to do just that – and when we were done, we put all our findings into this article!

So, is Taroom Casino worthy of its namesake, or is it tearing us apart?

Welcome Bonus – 100% Match up to AU$750 + 200 Free Spins + 1 Bonus Crab

Sadly, Taroom Casino won’t grant you a welcome package – instead, its welcome offering is condensed down into a single welcome bonus. On the upside, that bonus is at least pretty decent, granting players a decent combination of free spins and cash bonus – even if, as a whole, it’s lesser than what certain packages at other sites will net you.

For starters, depositing Taroom’s minimum deposit (AU$15) will give you one free spin on the game “Bonus Crab” that is exclusively found at Stellar Ltd casinos, and has guaranteed prizes. If you want more free spins, you’ll need to double up your deposit to AU$30 – that will net you 200 of them, as well as a 100% match up to AU$750. And although the match bonus is nothing special, 200 spins for AU$30 is a sweet deal.

Alas, the bonus requirements will be a little steep, and will make it harder for you to withdraw this bonus (which is ultimately the casino’s goal). You’ll have only 10 days to play through your match bonus x35 times, and as for the winnings from the free spins, those will need to be played through x40 times. Reload Promotions at Taroom Casino

Besides its welcome promo, Taroom Casino doesn’t actually have a lot of bonuses. However, what it does have is recurring ones – also known as reload promotions. This means that even if not a single new bonus offer is ever added in the casino’s entire history, you’ll still be able to keep getting more bonus cash because its offers will “reload” periodically, allowing you to claim them as if you’ve never had them before.

In this case, the bonuses will refresh weekly, and once you claim one, you’ll be able to get it again the following week. The first bonus is available between Monday and Thursday, and will reward you with 50 free spins against a minimum deposit of AU$30. Simple, easy to understand, and honestly, not a bad deposit-to-spins ratio!

The second bonus, available over the weekend, will take the same AU$30 deposit and reward you with a 50% match up to AU$1,050. But if you choose to bump that deposit up to AU$75 (or more), the casino will grant you an extra 50 free spins. Granted, this price of AU$45 for 50 spins isn’t great when you could get them for AU$30, but if you were going to deposit that amount anyway, then the extra reward is very welcome!

Both of those reload offers will have the same wagering requirements as the main bonus: x35 for the cash bonus, x40 for the free spins, to be completed within 10 days. And after they’re dispatched, well, it’ll be up to your payment provider to deliver them. VIP Program

Beyond the reload bonuses we mentioned way back in the beginning of our article, the only other offers that Taroom Casino has are all related to the VIP program – specifically, two cashback offers. Which, in theory, is really great, since cashbacks can make losses hurt a tiny bit less by giving you a percentage of those losses back. But is it worth it?

Well, the program itself isn’t that bad. It’s not very good either, but it’s something that we’ve seen in a lot of other sites, and quite frankly, there’s a reason for it: it just works. As you place real money bets on pokies, you’ll accumulate points that will enable you to “level up”, and with each level up, you’ll receive certain perks, including the aforementioned cashbacks. Really simple, right?

The problem here is that it takes so long for even a single level up that it renders the entire VIP program practically worthless. After all, there are only 5 levels here (unlike other programs which have up to 100 levels so that you’re constantly leveling up) – and those 5 levels are separated by thousands’ worth of wagers. It’d be fine if they at least awarded you with cool stuff, but the first 2 levels add nothing substantial, with the cashbacks only activating at level 3 – and at only 5% to boot. What’s even the point? Might as well ignore this entire program’s existence.

Tournaments

Although they’re not technically bonuses (and Taroom Casino certainly doesn’t treat them as such), many people still consider tournaments to be bonus offers: after all, you play and win cash, and isn’t that the definition of a bonus? Little do those people suspect that they’re more right here than they would normally be, because if you manage to rank high enough on a tournament leaderboard (which is no easy feat even for the shorter tourneys) you’ll receive not cash, but bonus points.

Those points can later be redeemed for bonus cash – meaning you’d first need to complete its wagering requirements before you can withdraw it. And quite frankly, that’s utterly ridiculous: why can’t you just win the cash?! Admittedly, not all tourneys will have this odd requirement (and, on the bright side, there are quite a lot of tourneys to choose from – which is certainly a boon for Taroom), but the main ones don’t give you any actual cash, and those are the ones most players will participate in.

Verification

Are you a veteran player? If so, then you’ve certainly heard of the verification procedure that sites like Taroom employ to authenticate their players’ identities – you might have even participated in it in the past! Thankfully there’s nothing scary about this one, and it should go about the same as always. You’ll need to take some photos of various documents (like your personal ID card and something that has your address on it), and then upload them to a special page on your profile so that the safety specialist of Taroom can inspect and verify them.

Although many players are very annoyed by this procedure (especially since, unless triggered manually by a player, it activates manually during your first withdrawal – right at the most exciting part), in practice it really won’t be a big deal. Customer support

The final thing we need to discuss is the mobile experience that Taroom offers – a very important topic, considering just how many players will play through their phones. However, there really isn’t much to say here, since this site’s mobile and desktop sites are practically identical. We don’t just mean “hey, they both offer the same functionality” – no, they look exactly the same, except one is in vertical orientation and the other in horizontal. Menus are in the same place, all the features work exactly the same, there’s no difference. So, the functionality is on a decent level, and, to Taroom’s credit, the performance is too. Not much else to ask of a mobile version!
