The site itself is pretty messy and slow (especially on mobile devices), and the parent company, albeit licensed by Curacao, is relatively unknown, and thus unproven. Can those already mismatched ingredients truly make up a casino site that can be called a “King” of anything?

That’s why we spent many days and nights testing and examining every aspect of Bonus Kong, not just its titular bonuses, but also its games, features, VIP program, legitimacy, customer support, and anything else you can think of that matters in the world of online gambling! Welcome Package

The welcome package of an online casino site is undeniably the best deal there, as it should be: it’s what drives players to sign up, after all! If your welcome bonus is either insufficient or just very poorly constructed, you’re bound to lose players who would have otherwise signed up just to claim it. And in that case, we imagine quite a lot of players are going to be bouncing off of Bonus Kong, because its welcome package is one of the most confusing messes we’ve ever seen in all our years reviewing online casinos.

When you head to either the Bonuses or Promotions page (the casino has both for some reason), you’ll find everything described plain as day: a first deposit of up to AU$1,000 + 150 free spins + 1,000 BAN… whatever BAN is. The other three parts of the welcome package are described similarly. Notice anything missing? That’s right: the match percentage is completely absent, and that’s arguably the most important part of a bonus! A 25% match up to AU$1,000 and a 200% match up to AU$1,000 are two entirely different bonuses.

But hey, Bonus Kong has gracefully provided us with a terms of service page specifically dedicated to the bonuses – maybe that will list the match percentage, and also explain what in the world a BAN is. Alas, this only confused us even further, since the terms and conditions state that the maximum bonus amount you can receive for the first, second and third deposit bonuses is just AU$225. Huh? But wasn’t it AU$1,000? An weren’t there four of them? The page also doesn’t explain what BAN means, and speaks of a high roller promotion that isn’t even present.

We tried to reach out to the support team to get more information about this, but were stonewalled (we’ll talk about this further in our review). We also checked what other reviewers have written, and each review has described entirely different bonuses both from each other and from what we see on the site… which might be the core of the issue, Bonus Kong changing its bonuses on a whim. So, to sum up, if you asked us what the welcome package of this casino is, we’d have to admit that we have no idea.

Reload Promotions at Bonus Kong Casino

Despite the messy, nonsensical welcome package that Bonus Kong offers, at least you can still rely on reload promotions once it’s over, right? These bonuses, as their name suggests, will reload (instead of expiring after a single use), allowing you to keep claiming them over and over again… at least in theory. In practice, Bonus Kong actually has no reload promos whatsoever. Looking at its Promotions page, all you’ll find is the 4-part welcome package and a bunch of tournaments, which we’ll describe a bit further in our review. A reload offer like “if you deposit AU$50 on a Wednesday you’ll get a 50% match” is entirely missing… which basically means you won’t see a cent of bonus cash once your welcome bonus is expired. You can imagine how we feel about this.

Bonus Kong Casino Games

Many Australian casino sites tend to suffer from a lack of games due to many high-profile providers not making their games available here, and unfortunately, Bonus Kong is no exception. Although it offers many different types of games, the actual number of titles youll see from each ‘type’ is actually very low, and far below what you’ve come to expect from a modern casino site. This is most apparent in the pokies section, which (as we’ll discuss in a bit) features far fewer games than many of Bonus Kong’s competitors.

Beyond pokies and live casino, you can also find instant win games and sports betting, but they also feel a touch insufficient – especially if you’re the type of player who specifically focuses on one game type instead of mixing and matching between them. Hell, some of the sections aren’t even populated properly: for example, the Instant Win section is entirely empty despite the fact that there are crash games available from companies like AvatarUX, which you can find in the main slots section. Sadly, this is one of the many symptoms of a site that’s very poorly put together on a technical level.

First off, let’s address the elephant in the room: the number of games. In total, you’ll find a little over 2,800 different pokies here: not even 3,000, which is the bare minimum we’d expect from modern casinos. Even the “Top Games” section has just 6 rooms in it, which is hilariously low for a site trying to convince players of its breadth of content.

No, if you want to access the actual number of live rooms, you’ll need to go category by category… but even then, you won’t find that much here. Blackjack has 13 rooms, Roulette 14, and… well, frankly, this is the bulk of it. There ARE smaller games, like sic bo and baccarat, but since they don’t have a dedicated category, and the main live room is so broken, you won’t even know they exist unless you specifically search for them. As for providers, it seems like all live games here are offered by Iconic21, which isn’t a terrible company by any means, but it’s also far from the standard of quality of something like Pragmatic Live.

Deposits & Withdrawals

If you were hoping that the payment options of Bonus Kong will be better and more coherent than its bonuses, we’re afraid you’re in for another disappointment. For starters, although the minimum deposit is just AU$30 (very reasonable), you’ll need to have won at least AU$75 to initiate a withdrawal – 2.5 times what you might have deposited! Not only that, but all deposits will need to be played through at least thrice, which is far more difficult than the typical requirement of x1 that most casinos employ.

As for payment options, the selection here – while not terrible – still leaves many things to be desired. You can deposit via credit card, bank transfer, Apple Pay and Revolut, as well as Skrill and Paysafecard. However, alternative e-wallets which are often found in the world of online casinos (like Neteller or Jeton) are conspicuously absent here, as are other pre-paid vouchers (like Neosurf). On the crypto front, the situation is similar: you’ll find several popular coins (like Bitcoin and Ethereum), but there will also be notable absences, like Litecoin or Dogecoin.

Withdrawal time

Despite the fact that making a deposit here is a very quick and simple ordeal, withdrawal will see you jumping through a few hoops before you can claim it. We’re not just talking about the verification procedure, which you’ll need to deal with the first time you’re making a withdrawal (we’ll discuss that a bit further in our review): we’re also referring to the processing times you’ll have to endure every time. Just getting your winnings sent out might take 2-3 business days, as Bonus Kong’s staff will need to check and manually approve your request before it’s paid out.

Even after the money’s on its way, you might still end up having to wait a few extra days, depending on how you’re withdrawing. Sure, payment options like crypto and e-wallets process transactions pretty much instantly, but the same isn’t true for banking methods. So if you’re planning to withdraw directly via bank transfer, consider the fact that it might take an extra 5-10 days before your transaction is available to use.

VIP Program

As we already discussed in the bonuses section, Bonus Kong doesn’t have any reload offers – just a (surprisingly vague and inconsistent) welcome package. That’s not optimal, but it might be okay if the site at least has a decent VIP program that can give you rewards as you progress through its levels. Unfortunately, it doesn’t: there’s no loyalty program here whatsoever, not even a basic cashback. This means that even if you’re playing here for 10 years, you won’t ever see a cent of bonus cash past your welcome package.

Tournaments

In the main menu of Bonus Kong you’ll find two distinct categories: Bonuses and Promotions. Although Bonuses will only list the four-part welcome package (and not entirely accurately at that, as we established earlier), the Promotions section actually features a bunch of different tournaments. While we don’t entirely understand while these have been placed here instead of either in a unified Bonuses section or in their own Tournaments one, we were still pretty happy to see them represented.

Alas, things aren’t nearly as optimistic as they appear. You see, all of those tournaments are of the “Drops & Wins” variety – which means they’re organized by the game provider, not by the casino itself. They’re available at many different sites which offer the same games, which means that there’s basically no reason to sign up for Bonus Kong if you’re JUST interested in those tournaments. Chances are, you can play the same selection of them on another casino, alongside a good number of original tourneys that you can’t find anywhere else.

Verification

Sadly, it’s not just gamblers who gravitate towards online casinos – it’s also criminals who need a place to launder illegally received cash. Throughout our review we’ve been rather negative about Bonus Kong – but does that mean it’s an illegal site that won’t pay out your winnings? Well… not necessarily. In fact, from the outside in, Bonus Kong does seem legit, despite not listing its owner and license anywhere (a trend that has sadly become much more common with Australian online casinos lately). After some research, we were able to uncover that the site is owned by Rocket Play B.V. and regulated by Curacao. In general, Curacao is considered one of the stronger offshore licenses, so looking purely at this, there’s no reason to assume that Bonus Kong is a scam.

With that said, though, it’s obvious that the casino will still try whatever it takes to not pay out the money it owes you. Granted, you can say that about most sites, but it’s especially obvious here: the high minimum withdrawal requirement, the x3 wagering requirement for deposits, and the vague and contradictory terms and conditions all point towards the idea that you’ll have to fight a bit of a battle before receiving the money you’ve won. A battle that, mind you, might not happen at other, more reputable online casinos.

Customer support

We’ve had many, MANY issues with Bonus Kong – and yet, one of the most egregious one is undoubtedly its support. For starters, the site doesn’t even have a dedicated support page, since you’ll need to dig through its terms and conditions to even find its email. Clearly it’s directing players towards the live chat page, and live chat… barely works here, to put it mildly. Since the site is such a mess, half the time it won’t even open, and when it does open, it’ll stick you with an AI bot that we found impossible to leave. We asked for a human agent 5 times and were denied each time, so we can only assume there IS no human agent.

That assumption was all but proven when we sent an email and received a generic, borderline incoherent response. We were asking about the site’s welcome package, which, as we’ve made clear, is pretty unclear and contradictory. Instead we received some clearly AI-generated response that didn’t even inform us of what the bonus is supposed to be! And if we were treated this way while just asking about a deposit bonus, imagine the kind of responses you’ll receive asking about your withdrawal requests or deposits that aren’t reflected in your account.

Mobile casino

If you thought that you’ve seen the end of Bonus Kong’s shady tricks, boy are you in for a surprise. Most online casinos don’t actually have a downloadable mobile app because, frankly, they don’t need one. Web apps are just as functional AND they get around issues like gambling apps being restricted on certain platforms (like iOS). So imagine our surprise when we found out that Bonus Kong does have a mobile version you can install! That’s quite rare!

When we opened the link, we were taken to a Google Play Store page with a big “Install” button, a page which boasts some very impressive stats: 1m+ downloads, 4.9 stars from nearly 30k reviews, #1 in all casino apps… Wow! At this point, the app might as well be the second coming of Jesus! But as you might have guessed by now, none of this is true. It’s not a real Play Store page, it’s just a fake mock-up intended to trick you into installing who knows what on your phone. We didn’t dare select that Install link, and we don’t recommend that you try it either. Installing third party apps from clearly fraudulent sources is a good way of getting your phone hacked.
